Overview

The I-O 5435e is a single port, multi-protocol print server that provides support for IPDS (Intelligent Printer Data Stream) and AFP (Advanced Function Printing) using IBM's over Ethernet networks from an IBM i5, AS/400 - iSeries or Mainframe - zSeries Host.

The unique design of the I-O AFP/IPDS Print Server allows a single PCL 5e laser printer to appear to the host as two separate type printers (IPDS and SCS) at the same time. Multi-host capabilities allow up to ten IBM hosts to send SCS printing to a single printer.
